Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is soft on corruption, said fellow Nobel Peace Prize laureate Leymah Gbowee. Gbowee pointed to the comfy government posts Sirleaf’s sons have received, condemning Sirleaf for not doing enough to aid economic development as the country’s richest citizens profit off political connections. Sirleaf was elected to her job for a second six-year term earlier this year. “Her sons are on the board of oil companies and one is the deputy governor of the central bank,” Gbowee said of Sirleaf. “You are either rich or dirt poor, there’s no middle class.”
