‘Slender Man’ Stabber to Spend 40 Years in Mental Hospital
GIVEN THE MAX
A 15-year-old convicted in the “Slender Man” stabbing case has been sentenced to the maximum of 40 years in a psychiatric hospital. This comes after prosecutors and doctors were fighting where to properly place Morgan Geyser, who was arrested for trying to kill a classmate to please the fictional horror character “Slender Man” when she was 12-years old. Geyser’s accomplice, Anissa Weier, was sentenced to 25 years in a mental hospital in December. Both Geyser and Weier lured their middle school classmate, Payton Leutner, into the woods in 2014 and stabbed her with the intent to kill. Leutner crawled out of the woods and got help from a passing bicyclist.
