Smithsonian Bans Selfie Sticks

Visitors to the Smithsonian museums will now have to take gratuitous photos of themselves sans selfie sticks. The Smithsonian Institution issued a new policy on Tuesday, banning selfie sticks, tripods, and monopods. It justified the move by calling it a preventive measure meant to protect museum objects and visitors, especially at times when the museums are crowded.
