Sneak Preview of Rihanna’s Bra-less Fashions, Tom Ford Creator of Justin Timberlake’s Suit and Ties

Rihanna’s Bra-less Fashions: A preview video of Rihanna’s forthcoming River Island fashion collection has been released, and as BuzzFeed points out, Ri’s designs are not a huge proponent for bras. From backless tees to side-less dresses, the capsule range seems to be filled with free-and-easy items. “It’s casual, it’s chic, it’s flirty,” Rihanna says of her designs, which will officially debut next month during London Fashion Week. Tom Ford, Creator of JT’s Suit & Ties: Looks like Justin Timberlake has called upon Hollywood’s go-to menswear designer for some suits…and inevitably also—some ties. Tom Ford has collaborated with the pop star to “create the refined style,” evocative of Timberlake’s upcoming album The 20/20 Experience. “I adore Justin. He has innate style and enormous talent. It has been such a pleasure and honor to work with him throughout this entire creative process,” Ford said of his collaborator. Turns out Ford is responsible for the suit featured on the cover of Timberlake’s single “Suit & Tie” as well as all of Timberlake’s outfits in the song’s lyric video. [Telegraph]

Chloé Launching Skincare: French fashion label Chloé is launching its first skincare line ever. The four-piece collection is titled Crème de la Rose, inspired by the house’s first fragrance. It’ll launch in Japan, followed by additional countries in Asia later this year. No word yet on when the range will hit the West. [Vogue UK]

Betsey Johnson To Show at NYFW After All: Betsey Johnson has changed her mind about showing during New York Fashion Week. The legendary designer publicly announced last week that she would be taking the season off, however today her company released a statement with Johnson explaining, “I just could not stay away from fashion week. I wanted to do this for myself and for all of my fans to show that I’ve still got it and I am not going anywhere.” Johnson will presumably debut her recently reconfigured label, which will now retail for a lower price point at large retailers like Macy’s. Lloyd Blankfein’s ‘Fashion Beard’: Akin to how Michelle Obama’s haircut buzz basically ruled all conversation surrounding last week’s inauguration, the new facial hair sported by Goldman Sach’s Lloyd Blankfein’s ruled discussion at last week’s Davos conference, reports the Financial Times. The paper’s fashion editor Vanessa Friedman draws comparison between Blankfein’s beard, and that of designer Tom Ford. “This is a fashion beard. And a power beard. Hence, it is a talking point beard,” she writes. [Financial Times]
