It’s been a big week for Denver. The city had its first snowfall of the season Friday morning. Such early snow is rare—the average first snow in Denver does not come until Oct. 19. Temperatures also dipped below freezing for the first time this season. Temperatures are expected to get up to 46 degrees Friday before falling to 27 later on, and more snow is expected this evening. Unfortunately, early snowfall does not necessarily mean early skiing—temperatures in the mountains have been higher, and officials do not expect them to see any snow Friday.
