March is coming in like a pretty ferocious lion. A storm that pelted the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley is headed to the Mid-Atlantic. Washington, D.C. is expected to get 10 inches of snow, and the federal government announced that its Washington-area offices would be closed Monday. Most Smithsonian museums have been closed, and more than 2,000 flights have been canceled. Parts of New Jersey may fare even worse, with some regions expecting a full foot of snow.
