State Dept. initiative brings Internet execs to Baghdad.

Soon enough, fans may finally have that window into the daily ups and downs of their favorite Iraqi officials. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has organized a delegation of executives from major Internet companies such as Google and Youtube to meet with Iraqi politicians. The State Department supports governments embracing Twitter and all the latest social networking tools, which "build local capacity, foster greater transparency, accountability (and) build upon anti-corruption efforts." Clinton has recently become an online presence herself: She is blogging on the State Department Web site, which also features an "ask the secretary" section.
