The nine-piece collection includes bodysuits, bustiers, and “waist-shaping briefs and boyshorts,” writes WWD. Christian Lacroix Talks Schiaparelli: Christian Lacroix has opened up about his short-term appointment at Schiaparelli. He explained to Dazed Digital that he feels a definitive kinship with the legendary designer: “I don’t want to sound pretentious but this seems natural to me, almost obvious. I do feel a link with her through many signs since I was a child. In my approach I will for sure not do a caricature of her work, but will create a reflection about how the past and the future are connected in the present.” [Dazed Digital]
The Bling Ring’s New Trailer: A longer, follow-up trailer for Sofia Coppola’s upcoming film The Bling Ring dropped on Tuesday evening. Starring Emma Watson, the movie follows a band of celebrity-crazed teens who infamously robbed the homes of celebutantes in the early aughties. The newest trailer previews scenes that were filmed in Paris Hilton’s real-life shoe closet, which is organized by color—creating a rainbow of stilettos. [YouTube]
Amazon’s Behind-The-Scenes: London photographer Ben Roberts and journalist Sarah O’Connor have produced a new project titled Amazon Unpacked—a photo essay that goes behind-the-scenes of Amazon’s UK headquarters. It details the company’s massive warehouse, including the area in which apparel merchandise is stocked. The warehouse is located in Rugeley, Staffordshire, a former coalmining town that was struggling in the recession until Amazon set up base, writes Highsnobiety. [Highsnobiety]
