Scott Sterling, the 32-year-old son of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was discovered dead Tuesday night at the family’s home in Malibu. Detectives found his body after receiving a call from an unnamed person telling deputies that Sterling had not been heard from for “several days.” He was pronounced dead at the scene, and though no official cause of death has been given, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says he died of an “apparent drug overdose.” In 1999, Sterling was arrested but not charged in the shooting of a childhood friend.
