A 21-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother to death outside a Maryland Catholic church on Friday night. The son, Kevin Justin McGuigan, has been charged with first-degree murder, according to police. His mother, Jaclyn McGuigan, was seen leaving her home with her son Friday night around 5:30 p.m. Thirty minutes later, police responded to reports of a deadly assault at the church. Witnesses reported hearing loud screaming from the entrance to the church and saw Kevin standing over his mother, according to police. Kevin fled the scene in his mother's car. Officers arrested him the next morning at a gas station. According to police Kevin has offered no motive for the killing. “At this time, we have little information on what happened, but the incident does not appear to be related to the parish or school,” the Archdiocese of Washington said in a statement.
