Sony cut a scene involving National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell from the upcoming movie Concussion, after concerns that it could lead to a defamation lawsuit. The scene implicates the commissioner in a coverup of the connection between football and brain damage. The director, Peter Landesman, alleges that the scene was based on a secondhand account, so he cut it from the film.
