With one billion people watching around the globe, Miss South Africa beat out her last two competitors—Miss Hungary and Miss United States—to nab the ultimate pageant title. At a live ceremony in London on Sunday night, Rolene Strauss was named the 2014 Miss World, also known as Derek Jeter’s future new girlfriend. Strauss, a 22-year-old bilingual medical student, competed against women from 120 other countries. She is the third Miss World from South Africa in the contest’s 64-year history.
