About 650 homes in the Dallas–Fort Worth area were damaged by a string of tornadoes that tore through the area yesterday, tossing trailers into the air and canceling hundreds of flights. As many as a dozen tornadoes may have touched down in the region, and more may be on the way. Tornadoes could hit much of the Southeast today, according to the Weather Channel, which has a warning for parts of Texas to northern Florida and from Kansas to Viriginia. Nashville; Memphis; Jackson, Miss.; Mobile, Ala.; and Lake Charles, La., have the greatest chance of severe storms. There have been no reports of deaths or serious injuries from yesterday’s storm.
