A Spanish judge jailed two leaders of the Catalonian independence movement on Monday. Jordi Sanchez of the group Catalan National Assembly, and Jordi Cuixart of the group Omnium Cultural stand accused of sedition for their role in pro-independence protests on September 20 and 21 in Barcelona. During those protests, Spanish police cracked down on pro-independence demonstrators.
