Netflix Star Dies at 37 After Mysterious Illness

Spanish actor José de la Torre died on Thursday at the age of 37 after battling an unknown illness. De la Torre was best known for his role as Iván on the Netflix series Toy Boy, which premiered in 2019 and ran for two seasons. The actor was diagnosed with an unspecified “serious illness” in June that he was receiving treatment for, the Daily Mail reported. His last Instagram post on June 3 showed him at a party on the Canary Islands. His funeral was held on Friday. After news of de la Torre’s death broke, friends shared their condolences. “I can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m devastated by your departure,” singer Pablo Alborán wrote on Instagram stories. “I’m sending kisses to all of your family and friends. We’ll never forget you José.” Actress and singer Lolita Flores also shared a tribute on Instagram. “How hard it is for me to accept that you’re gone, without even knowing you,” she wrote. “We shared very few hours, but your 37 years hurt me. Life is so unfair sometimes. You’re handsome on the outside and on the inside.”
