After repeatedly making reference to a nonexistent Atlanta terror attack, Sean Spicer now claims he “clearly meant Orlando” all along. In an email to ABC News, the White House press secretary tried to explain away why he had cited an Atlanta attack three times in the past week as a means to defend President Trump’s ban on travel from seven Muslim-majority countries. According to Spicer, when he said “Atlanta” to ABC News, MSNBC, and the White House press corps over the span of a few days, he actually meant the Pulse nightclub terror attack in Orlando, which left 49 people dead last summer.
