Spider-Man Musical Delayed One Month

Saw That Coming

Show's fourth postponement.

Glenn Beck listeners better not flock to New York just yet: The premiere of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will be delayed another month, from Feb. 11 to March 14, to allow producers to fine-tune it and rehearse a new ending. The show has already been delayed three times, including once after it opened for previews. Four actors have been seriously injured in the production, and one, lead actress Natalie Mendoza, decided to quit the production. The musical, directed by Julie Taymor, is already the most expensive Broadway production in history, at $65 million and counting. But producer Michael Cohl says Spider-Man won't be delayed again: “I picked a date in March that allows me to ensure that this will be the final postponement."
