According to a poll from NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll, the politician who was pushed from office after a prostitution scandal is leading in the race by 9 points over his opponent, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. Spitzer is favored by registered Democrats by 42 percent, over Stringer's 33 percent. The ex-governor still must collect 3,750 signatures by Thursday to ensure his spot on the ballot.
