The St. Louis Cardinals pummeled the Dodgers in a Friday night victory of 9-0, meaning they will advance to the World Series. Cardinals player Carlos Beltran gushed after the game, as his teammates sprayed champagne on him, “I’m so happy right now. I woke up this morning with a feeling that we were going to do it. I don’t know, man.” The Cardinals have now played 32 home games without losing two in a row.
