All of this discord “can only mean one thing,” says Dan Amira at New York magazine. “Some D.C.-area Starbucks employees have not been writing ‘come together’ on their coffee cups today.” The coffee giant’s CEO Howard Schultz ordered that baristas write the cutesy phrase on all cups today to encourage a swift end to fiscal negotiations. But, as many Starbucks patrons are reporting on Twitter, the company's employees are for the most part not complying.
