Steenkamp Parents Forgave Pistorius

When asked in an interview about whether or not they have forgiven Oscar Pistorius for killing their daughter Reeva Steenkamp, June Steenkamp replied, “I’ve already forgiven a long time ago.” She also said that she and her husband were “satisfied by the sentence.” “We don’t want revenge. We want a fair punishment under the circumstances of his disability,” she said. “We wouldn’t have wanted him to go to jail and be abused, but he will realize that he can’t go around doing that, he can’t kill somebody like that.” However, she also said that she believes Pistorius has not been completely honest about the circumstances of the death. “There’s more to the whole story than anybody knows. Only Oscar knows,” she claimed.
