Watch out Bono, John Mellencamp is working with Stephen King on a new musical, called Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. The Alliance Theater will produce the play, which it calls “a riveting Southern gothic musical,” while producer T. Bone Burnett will provide musical direction to Mellencamp's “roots and blues-tinged score.” King's story is based on the historical deaths of two brothers and a young girl in 1957.
