Has Gawker media gotten the best of Steve Jobs once again? The Apple CEO found himself in an email spat with a reporter from Gawker, whose parent company owns the tech blog, Gizmodo, that recovered a lost next-gen iPhone. When blogger Ryan Tate sent Jobs an email criticizing an Apple ad calling the iPad a “revolution,” Jobs revealed his Orwellian side, saying that the device offered several “freedoms,” including “freedom from porn.” Tate goes on to criticize Apple’s war on Flash and its strict App Store requirements. By the end of the exchange, Jobs had become ornery, asking Tate, “What have you done that’s so great? Do you create anything, or just criticize others work and belittle their motivations?”
