Steven Tyler confirmed he’s going to be the next judge on American Idol—“probably.” The show hasn’t said if the Aerosmith frontman would be sitting on the judging panel, but Tyler briefly spoke about his future after a concert and before entering an afterparty at Studio 54. He plans to be “recording an album and [I’m] probably going to be judge on American Idol.” Rumors indicate that the rock star will be joined by Jennifer Lopez. Despite speculation that executives at Fox’s session at TCA on Monday would confirm the judges’ panel, they remained vague. “The only thing I can tell you with absolute certainty is there are no signed deals with anyone on either side of the camera who wasn’t on the show last year,” Fox’s entertainment chairman, Peter Rice, said in his opening statement.
