Steven Tyler is officially onboard for the next season of American Idol, E! Online reports. Fox’s line is still “no comment,” but according to a “very-inside music source,” the lead singer of Aerosmith finalized negotiations late last week. Fox apparently still finds Jennifer Lopez’s demands too high—over $20 million as well as her own hair, makeup, styling team, and something called a “dressing room compound”—because they’re still talking to other potential judges. Tyler reportedly also requested a top-notch wardrobe and makeup, but other than that no details about his contract have emerged. Maybe a steady supply of microphone scarves?
