A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, early Wednesday, calling for a tsunami alert to be issued—though it's since been lifted. Around half of the 230,000 victims of the deadly 2004 tsunami lived in Aceh. Residents of Aceh and other coastal cities poured onto the streets after the midnight quake, and a police spokesman said there did not appear to be any immediate damage or deaths.
