Strutting Begins—Gasp—in a Timely Fashion?

Pelts and neon aren’t the only accessories en vogue at Fashion Week—punctuality is revealing itself as the best trend of all. Style.com contributing editor Tim Blanks says the stated start time at a fashion show is a “flexible little figure” and hilariously (and accurately) claimed in a video blog that traditionally waiting 20 minutes for any show to start is old hat. This year, however, the William Rast show started merely five minutes past its 7 p.m. start time, and the Marc Jacobs event even began—the horror!—five minutes early. Since punctuality is supposed to be a sign of good manners, fashion just might have received an etiquette lesson. Stay tuned for more reports from the front lines.
