A gunman opened fire in the cafeteria of a high school 30 miles east of Cleveland this morning, killing one student and wounding four others. The wounded students were taken to area hospitals, according to a regional FBI spokesman. The shooting reportedly broke out at about 7:30 in Chardon High School, where police are now reporting that the gunman is in custody. Though the suspect has not been identified, he is believed to be a student, according to officials. Cleveland’s WOIO Channel 19 is reporting that the suspect is 17 years old and is cooperating with police.
