Who would have thought that, one month into his presidency, Barack Obama would already be campaigning again in Indiana? Speaking to an audience in Elkhart, Indiana, Obama said “We can’t afford to wait. We can’t wait to see and hope for the best.” Defending the stimulus, he said “You know, look, it's not perfect. But it is the right size, it is the right scope. Broadly speaking, it has the right priorities to create jobs that will jump-start our economy and transform the economy for the 21st century." A good sign that the Republican tide against Obama may be turning? At an event campaigning for the stimulus tomorrow, Republican Florida Governor Charlie Crist will introduce Obama. In a statement, Crist said "I am eager to welcome President Obama to the Sunshine State as he continues to work hard to reignite the US economy."
