Suicide Squad, while maligned by critics, opened with a $135.1 million haul in its first weekend, giving it the third highest opening of the year and second biggest of the summer. It will also stand as Will Smith's biggest domestic debut in his career. Warner Bros., the studio that released the film, has made over $1 billion domestically for its 16th year in a row.
