That was fast. Vanity Fair’s international correspondent and frequent aviation writer, William Langewiesche, will write Fly by Wire: The Truth About the Miracle on the Hudson, which will be landing in bookstores almost as fast as Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger III landed his plane on the Hudson. In the book, which is due out in November, Langewiesche will expand a series of articles he’s written on aviation for The Atlantic. He will cover such themes as bird strikes, digital flight systems, and the overall state of “pathos and sadness” pervading the airline industry.
