A bettor has placed a $1.5 million wager on the underdog Los Angeles Rams to beat the favored New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday. While most bets have been placed on the Patriots to beat the 2.5-point spread, Sportsbook operator William Hill reportedly received a $1.5 million bet on Friday in favor of the Rams. This same bettor placed $1 million on the Philadelphia Eagles over the Patriots in the 2018 Super Bowl, and walked away with $1.65 million with the Eagles surprise win. The South Point sports book also took a $300,000 wager in favor of the Rams. At bookmaker William Hill, more and more bets are leaning toward the Rams. In the past 11 years, the underdog has won the Super Bowl eight times.
