In case that could ban racial consideration in college admissions.

Get ready for this debate to resurface. Supreme Court justices are going to decide whether race should be weighed in college admissions. The court heard the case of Abigail Fisher Wednesday, a 22-year-old Texan who’s suing the University of Texas on claims she was denied admission because she’s white. The question of affirmative action was last discussed in the court in 2003, when it was decided that a limited use of racial preference could be used. Likely swing vote Justice Kennedy hinted where he leans Wednesday saying "I thought the whole point was that sometimes race has to be a tiebreaker.” A decision on the case is expected in the spring.
