The suspect wanted for last Friday’s ambush on Pennsylvania State Police barracks that left one dead and one critically injured has been identified as 31-year-old Eric Matthew Frien, according to authorities. “He has been described as a survivalist,” Commissioner Frank Noonan said of the suspect. ”He has made statements about wanting to kill law-enforcement officers and also about wanting to commit mass acts of murder.” Frien’s identity came after a vehicle containing his ID and matching ammo was spotted hidden in a swampy area near the barracks.
