‘Survivor’ Producer Convicted of Murder

GUILTY

Sentenced to 12 years for wife’s death.

Former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redmond was convicted on murder charges in his wife’s death during a family vacation to Cancun in 2010, Mexico’s attorney general said Thursday. Beresford-Redmond’s lawyer said he was sentenced to 12 years in prison and planned to appeal the case. Police say Beresford-Redman, who maintains his innocence, allegedly killed his wife and hid her body in the hotel room before disposing it in a cistern at the Moon Palace resort. Her body was discovered three days later. Beresford-Redman returned to the U.S. with his two children after his wife’s death, but was extradited to Mexico in 2012, where he remained in jail until his trial.
