Susan Boyle Doesn't Want Your Makeover

This statement will probably become moot the second she appears on television again, but YouTube darling Susan Boyle, who dreamed a dream on Britain’s Got Talent last weekend, says she doesn’t see the need for a makeover. While it’s true much of her appeal sprang from being a “scrunchy-faced, eyebrow-enforested, unprepossessingly dumpy representative of anonymous humanity,” can she resist the salons and designers clamoring over her? The Scottish dame said of her appearance, “For now I’m happy the way I am—short and plump. I would not go in for Botox or anything like that. I’m content with the way I look. What’s wrong with looking like Susan Boyle? What’s the matter with that?” Sing it, sister.
