At Long Last Love

Susan Boyle Finds First Boyfriend at 53

Met American doctor during tour.

Scottish sensation Susan Boyle, who wowed Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 with her singing while telling judges she’d “never been kissed,” apparently has found her first boyfriend, at the ripe age of 53. The singer, who became a global phenomenon after performing “I Dreamed a Dream” on the show—and went on to sell millions of albums—told The Sun she met an American doctor during her recent tour. After they enjoyed a romantic dinner where her date behaved as “the perfect gentleman,” the two decided to pursue a relationship. “I don’t want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him,” she told the publication. “All I’ll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy.” Boyle added, “It’s very early days, so we’ll see what happens... I hope he comes over.”
