A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two Ferguson police officers on Thursday, when peaceful protesters were gathered in front of Ferguson Police Depeartment headquarters. A handgun with shell casings that match those at the scene has also been recovered. During a press briefing on Saturday afternoon, police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Jeffrey Williams, a demonstrator who has "acknowledged his participation" in the shooting. Police stressed that Williams may have not intended to shoot at the officers, but "may have had a dispute" with other people in the area and could have been firing at them. He was identified with the help of the public.
