Suspect Identified in Murder of British MP Jo Cox

Police have identified the man suspected of shooting to death British Member of Parliament Jo Cox. Thomas Mair, 52, was described as a recluse who has lived in the same house in Birstall for most of his life. “I am really shocked,” a neighbor said. “He walked past my house this morning and said hello like he always does.” The neighbor added that Mair often helped people with their gardens and “never caused any trouble.” She also said she never heard him talk about politics or Britain’s possible exit from the European Union, and did not believe he was a member of a political party. Cox, 41, was due to attend a public meeting when the incident occurred Thursday.
