The national leadership of a Jewish fraternity condemned three swastikas that were spray-painted on its Vanderbilt University chapter’s house this weekend, while linking the incident to what it called a “rising tide of anti-Semitism.” Alpha Epsilon Pi International Executive Director Andrew Borans, whose organization hired security consultants for chapters across the country last fall, said the incident “is very real and is undoubtedly connected to organized and concerted anti-Israel activities on college campuses.” Vanderbilt condemned the incident, and the local police department is investigating it as a hate crime.
