Voters on Sunday backed a plan to give shareholders authority over executive pay – working to end abuses likegolden-parachute severance agreements. Major companies like Nestle, Roche, Novartis, and UBS are based in Switzerland and could be affected. Thismove comes after the EU moved last week to limit bonuses for bankers.
