The bloodshed in Syria spilled beyond the country’s borders on Saturday. Three people are dead and many more injured after Syria shelled farms and villages in northern Lebanon, which has served as a base for the rebels hoping to overthrow the government of President Bashar al-Assad. It isn’t the first time the violence has spilled into Syria’s neighbor to the southwest: Syria has made a somewhat regular habit of bombing villages and chasing militants across the border.
