Taking a way a crucial lifeline for refugees, Syria’s army stormed the border town of Bdama on Saturday as part of a widening government crackdown. The town, just a few miles away from Turkey, had provided some of the only food and medicine available to the thousands of Syrians who have fled but have not yet crossed into the tent cities across the border. Troops came in with six tanks, sending even more refugees away and critically endangering those who have already fled.
