The first American to take part in a suicide attack in Syria since the three-year conflict there began was identified on Friday as Moner Mohammad Abusalha of South Florida. The 22-year-old had traveled to Syria more than once, which law enforcement had been aware of before he killed himself. In video footage posted by Jabhat al-Nusra, an al Qaeda-linked group, Abusalha can be seen packing a truck with shells and driving toward his destination. According to the group, it was one of four coordinated suicide bombings against government positions.
