Syrian troops raided another town near the border with Turkey, prompted still more refugees to flee. Witnesses say tanks and soldiers entered the town of Bdama, shooting machine guns, setting fire to buildings, and arresting dozens of residents. The raid comes after the forces of President Bashar al-Assad raided the northern town of Jisr al-Shughour, where more than 100 security personnel were killed in what was either an armed uprising or a mutiny by security forces. Bdama had become a vital supply point for the thousands of people who fled the army's approach. Turkey says 10,000 refugees have arrived in the past week.
