Forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad trained their guns on thousands of protesters in Aleppo Friday as Syrians demonstrated for regime change, killing a teenager. The shooting took place one day after a government raid on a university in Aleppo in which four students lost their lives. The Friday protests, the largest the mostly loyal city of Aleppo has seen in Syria's 14-month uprising, came as patience among the Syrian opposition is wearing thin for the United Nation’s mission in the country. U.N. observers are in the Syria in support of a ceasefire that seems to have yet to exist in more than name.
