The Syrian Kurdish YPG militia seized most of the ISIS-controlled town of Tal Abyad near the Turkish border with the help of U.S.-led air strikes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Monday. Fighters for the Kurdish Popular Protection Units (YPG) said they were sending reinforcements to help fortify the main supply route south of ISIS self-declared capital of Raqqa. The Kurdish assault into Tal Abyad came from both the east and west in a series of clashes that led to more thousands of civilians to flee to the Turkish border.
