Where's the beef? The fast-food chain Taco Bell has published “truth” ads explaining what is really in their beef after a major class-action lawsuit claims the company is not using beef, but rather a product that doesn't meet USDA requirements. The ads, which can run up to $100,000 each, were published in full pages of The New York Times, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal. In huge bold letters, the ads state: "Thank you for suing us. Here's the truth about our seasoned beef." The lawsuit was filed last week in California, but Taco Bell officials call the claims “bogus.”
