Earlier this week, Tampa's Mayor Bob Buckhorn was prepared to call off the biggest Republican party of the year if it looked like Hurricane Isaac would get in the way. Now Buckhorn says his city is open and ready for the GOP to arrive. "We think the only impact will be some rain, some wind, no tidal surge, if you will," the mayor said on CNN Friday morning. "So I think we are now more focused on full steam ahead with the Republican National Convention, all of the preparations, getting ready for all the visitors and guests and members of the media that will be here."
