Apparently upset by missing out on a nomination for Video of the Year at the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards, Nicki Minaj vented, as one does, on her Twitter account.
Fellow pop titan Taylor Swift, as one of the only two women (the other being Beyoncé for "7/11") in the running for the award, for, ironically, “Bad Blood”, took the comment personally:
Minaj played innocent:
Swift acquiesced:
A tentative peace made, Minaj took a couple swings at what she perceives as a racist media:

And the whole thing set the Internet ablaze, as such things do, when you start a heated conversation with 80 million of your closest friends in front of a content-hungry media machine. Minaj was quick to note that in our unquenchable thirst for drama, we all quickly lost track of her original complaint:
And that maybe it was intentional:
It should be noted that Minaj was nominated for multiple VMAs, including Best Female Video and Best Hip-Hop Video. Just not for video of the year.
Sigh.
